چکیده

The work presents a successful example of the use YSZ binary systems for production composite ceramic materials based on ?-Al2O3 with improved physical and mechanical characteristics which was previously considered an unpromising material. It first obtained result extreme nature dependence properties Al2O3+YSZ concentration (ZrO2–3mol% Y2O3) additive. sintering temperature decreased 250 °C (from 1800 to 1550 °C). phase composition powders structure ceramics Al2O3 + system were investigated depending amount dopant, structure-properties relationship established. is shown that maximum achieved at equal 10% wt.

Next to the main aluminium ore, bauxite, an assemblage of aluminium hydroxides, aluminium oxides and other minerals (gibbsite, diaspore, boehmite, kaolinite, quartz, hematite, goethite, rutile, anatase, and alumogel), aluminium oxides find direct application in diverse industrial processes (e.g., refractory, abrasives, and watch-making industries) as well as in the gemstone sector. Corundum (Al...

Hydrogenation Properties of TiFe Doped with Zirconium

The goal of this study was to optimize the activation behaviour of hydrogen storage alloy TiFe. We found that the addition of a small amount of Zr in TiFe alloy greatly reduces the hydrogenation activation time. Two different procedural synthesis methods were applied: co-melt, where the TiFe was melted and afterward re-melted with the addition of Zr, and single-melt, where Ti, Fe and Zr were me...

Thermal Stability of Nanostructurally Stabilized Zirconium Oxide

Nanostructurally stabilized zirconium oxide (NSZ) hard transparent fi lms were produced without chemical stabilizers by the ion beam assisted deposition technique (IBAD). A transmission electron microscopy study of the samples produced below 150 °C revealed that these fi lms are composed of zirconium oxide (ZrO2) nanocrystallites of diameters 7.5 ± 2.3 nm. X-ray and selected-area electron diffr...
